Year: pre 1880
This rose caused a lot of confusion. For the longest time she was listed as Mademoiselle de Sombreuil, a tea rose that was extinct in Europe and only recently rediscovered in the USA. The two roses are indeed quite similar in scent, adding to the confusion. With up to 80 petals per flower, coloured a creme-yellow and changing to a fawnish brown towards the middle, this rose needs fear no comparison.
